With over 20 years of experience in higher education administration and 15 years as a senior leader in university finance offices, John Stachniewicz works directly with institutions to help improve their administrative and financial operations.
Prior to joining Spivey Consulting Group, John Stachniewicz was Associate Dean for Administration and Finance at Boston College Law School. As associate dean, he supervised finance and budgets, admissions and financial aid, career services, marketing and communications, human resources, reporting, and publications. At BC Law, John spearheaded the initiatives that resulted in a ten position increase from 36 to 26 in USNWR rankings between 2015 and 2018. Additionally, ranking increases were achieved in the Above the Law Top 50 Law Schools, to a high of 16, and in the Washington and Lee Law Review Rankings, to a high of 21. John currently serves as the Director of Finance & Administration at the Yale University Divinity School. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Vassar College and a master’s degree from Tufts University.
John and his husband live in New Haven, Connecticut with their neurotic and loveable beagle.
