Whiting Dimock

Whiting is a lawyer and former law school dean of students with more than 30 years of experience in the legal profession.

• For more than a decade, she served as Senior Assistant Dean of Students at the University of Colorado Law School, where she was involved in all aspects of the admissions process.
• Whiting served on the committees that made decisions about applicants and scholarships, reviewed applications, and advised students on all issues that arose during law school.
• She worked closely with the career development office and was involved in the law school’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

Whiting’s experience prior to working in law school leadership includes attorney hiring, career advising, law firm management, and practicing law as a transactional attorney, all in Washington, DC. In 2022, Whiting co-founded a law firm with her husband G Matthews; owning a firm provides Whiting with the flexibility to also pursue her passion for helping prospective law students.

Whiting loves working with clients on all aspects of the law school application process, from strategy to details and everything in between. Helping clients refine their materials to showcase their strengths and achieve the best possible admissions outcomes enables them to move forward with increased confidence and certainty on their path to success in the law, regardless of where they started. More About Whiting

Whiting has a J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School and a B.A. from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Originally from a small rural town near Hartford, Connecticut, Whiting has lived in Colorado for 14 years and recently started spending a few months every year in Paris, France. A former Ironman triathlete, she currently spends her non-working hours on much more leisurely pursuits (e.g., jigsaw puzzles).
